DIY Ramadan Advent Calendar

You can buy some adorable Ramadan Advent Calendars online (check out my post for some reviews). However, if you are like me, it’s too late too order one or you want to try and make one on your own. Lucky for you, the same post has some great DIY ideas for you to try. And if all fails, there always is pintrest right? For the first time this year, I went ahead and made my own advent calendar. Toddler Ramadan Good Deeds Calendar

Ramadan is 30 days – that’s a long time to keep a toddler or child excited about anything. Advent calendars successfully keep children excited about Christmas for 25 days, so it’s not surprising that advent calendars are a great way to keep children excited about Ramadan. As a parent, I want my daughter to understand the meaning of Ramadan, not just celebrate it.

Top 10 Muslim Books for Toddlers

Me and my husband love books, so even before my daughter had her crib assembled, she had a little collection of books ready to go. As naïve first time parents, we used to love walking into Barnes and Nobles and pick up books that appealed to us rather than my daughter.

Fast forward to three plus years later and I have only bought a few books to add to her collection. “Children’s Books” is such a wide category because “children” is a wide age group. Not all books that fall under this category are well suited for all children.

I struggled to find good Muslim books geared towards toddlers for my daughter.
